June 17, 2024 • Celebrations
BLOOMINGTON, IN — Turner Mining Group is excited to announce the appointment of Tyler Vincent as the new Director of Safety, further strengthening its commitment to a safe and innovative work environment. With a robust career in operations and safety roles, Tyler brings invaluable experience from leading companies like Capstone Copper, Lafarge Holcim, and Barrick Gold.
"We are thrilled to welcome Tyler to the Turner Mining Group family," said Keaton Turner, President & CEO of Turner Mining Group. "Tyler’s extensive experience and dedication to safety make him an invaluable addition to our leadership team. I am confident his innovative approach and hands-on leadership will help us maintain a benchmark for safety in the mining industry, reinforcing our role as the trusted mine services provider across the US."
Tyler's impressive background spans the gold, cement, copper, construction, and education sectors across the United States. He holds a B.S. Degree in Occupational Safety and Health from Montana Tech and is currently pursuing a master's degree in Organizational Leadership, focusing on the psychology of safety and decision-making processes.
"I’ve always been drawn to the fast-paced, ever-changing nature of the mining industry," Tyler shared. "Turner Mining Group stands out for its commitment to people and its drive to be the best in the industry. I’ve heard firsthand about the incredible opportunities at Turner from respected industry experts, and I’m eager to contribute to this dynamic team."
Tyler's objectives as Director of Safety include supporting site needs, streamlining processes, enhancing communication, and fostering a culture that prioritizes integrity and safety. He emphasizes that true success in safety involves learning from experiences and demonstrating genuine care for everyone's wellbeing.
"In my experience, safety and culture always begin with the safety team," Tyler noted. "If we aren’t embodying Turner Mining Group’s values of excellence, innovation, heart, and safety, how can we expect others to do so? I’m naturally driven and want our team to be excited about what lies ahead. The only limitation we face is our belief in limitations."
Tyler lives by a set of principles that he believes will elevate Turner Mining Group to new heights in safety excellence:
- Treat others the way you want to be treated.
- Live our values within your circle of influence.
- Go the extra mile to help someone and make their day.
- Set clear expectations and hold yourself and others accountable.
Tyler's decision to join Turner Mining Group highlights his enthusiasm for the company’s people-centered culture and innovative spirit. "I look forward to providing leadership and guidance as our organization continues to grow and flourish," he said. "The opportunity to shape the company culture and mentor our team is what excites me the most."
As Turner Mining Group continues to expand, Tyler Vincent's leadership and strategic vision will play a crucial role in enhancing the company’s safety standards and overall success.
