Turner Mining Group Appoints Blake Baca as Director of Maintenance

Bloomington, IN - Turner Mining Group (Turner) announced today that Blake Baca has joined the company as Director of Maintenance. In this role, Baca will lead the development and execution of Turner’s maintenance and reliability program across its growing portfolio of mining operations.

Baca brings more than 35 years of experience in maintenance, reliability, and asset management across mining, energy, and heavy industry. He has held senior leadership roles at organizations including Barrick Gold and Alcoa, and most recently served as Founder and Principal Consultant of BDB Solutions, where he led large-scale reliability transformations for global clients. His work has consistently driven improvements in equipment availability, cost efficiency, and operational performance.

At Turner, Baca will focus on building a scalable maintenance framework and advancing a comprehensive reliability system that extends beyond equipment maintenance to include processes, planning, and execution across the operation. His leadership will be central to strengthening field performance and developing the systems and team capabilities required to support the company’s continued growth.
