Turner Mining Group Secures Long-Term Partnership at Mineral Park Mine
July 23, 2024 • Project Announcements

KINGMAN, AZ - Turner Mining Group is thrilled to announce a landmark partnership with Origin Mining Company, LLC (“Origin Mining”), securing a contract to perform all mining services at the Mineral Park mine located in Kingman, Arizona for the next three years, with the potential to extend for a further three years. This win highlights Turner Mining Group’s commitment to excellence and safety, demonstrated through their successful work at Mineral Park over the past three years.
Since late 2021, Turner Mining Group has been contracted at the Mineral Park site, successfully mining 25 million tons of copper ore for Origin Mining’s leaching campaign. Turner’s continued presence on site has involved completing various heavy civil projects, aligning with the ongoing Mill Refurbishment.
Turner Mining Group's scope of work for this new contract includes comprehensive drilling, blasting, load/haul/dump operations, and stockpile management. These activities are set to commence later this year, with full production expected in 2025.
In support of this long-term partnership, Turner Mining Group has invested $25 million into a significant mining fleet, including 11 rigid-frame haul trucks, 3 large wheel loaders, and 4 platform drills, ensuring the state-of-the-art equipment necessary to meet the demands of this long-term project. In addition to these key pieces, the fleet includes a variety of support and auxiliary machines essential for operational efficiency.
Keaton Turner, President of Turner Mining Group, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership stating, "Our relationship with Origin Mining is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our entire team. We are excited to strengthen our partnership over the course of the next six years as we continue to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality mining services. This is a great team win that solidifies our organization as a trusted mine services provider in the US."
This partnership highlights the trust Origin Mining places in Turner Mining Group while reinforcing Turner’s reputation for delivering successful mining projects. As the team prepares for this new chapter, Turner Mining Group remains committed to operational excellence, safety, and innovation in the mining industry.
“I'm excited for this partnership to showcase contract mining's economic viability and reliability in handling complex challenges,” adds Tucker Jensen, Director of Operations. “We look forward to supporting a vital national mineral supplier, creating local jobs, and boosting regional economies. This collaboration also allows us to pioneer new technologies for safety, productivity, and environmental stewardship, aligned with our commitment to responsible growth in the domestic mining industry alongside a like-minded partner."
