Turner Mining Group Launches Next Level Employee Portal to Scale Communication
March 18, 2020 • Celebrations

With employees from coast to coast and border to border, Turner Mining Group identified the need for a central source of communication and information warehousing. As a three-year-old company who has been on an aggressive growth path, internal communications have been an afterthought until this point. The internal website named “The Employee Portal” was built mobile first, with an easy to update back end interface enabling the ability to seamlessly update information and maintain relevancy.
The Employee Portal houses new hire onboarding essentials, employee resources, safety documents, culture focused media, branding resources and more. “It’s meant to be the first stop for all things Turner Mining Group and also intended to provide an interactive space that creates a sense of community despite our employees being spread out over the country,” said Chief Marketing Officer, Tracy O’Brien. “I’ve never actually been a part of an organization that had an effective intranet, which is crazy considering how important communication is to decentralized companies.”
Employees will be granted access to The Employee Portal upon hire and guest access may be granted to those in the interview process to make it easier to learn about the company. This is just one step in Turner Mining Group’s broader Internal Communications initiative.
