Turner Mining Group Appoints Curtis Wettstein as Head of Mine Technologies

Bloomington, IN - Turner Mining Group announced today that Curtis Wettstein has joined the company as Head of Mine Technologies. In this new role, Wettstein will lead Turner Mining Group's efforts to evaluate, implement, and advance emerging mining technologies that improve operational performance while helping the company stay ahead of technological advancements and deliver greater value to its customers.

Wettstein brings more than 17 years of mining experience spanning operations, mine engineering, mine planning, mobile maintenance, mine technology, surveying, and environmental management. His experience in international underground and surface mining operations, combined with his success leading teams in both small and large organizations, gives him a comprehensive understanding of the complex challenges facing today's mining industry and solutions needed to solve them.

At Turner, Wettstein will help identify and evaluate technologies that improve safety, productivity, operational efficiency, and decision-making across the company's mining operations. His role will focus on emerging technologies, including automation and autonomous mining solutions, as well as helping Turner Mining Group and its customers strategically adopt innovations that create measurable operational value.
