Turner Mining Group provides a turnkey mining solution for a commercial frac sand facility in the Midwest. The project scope includes greenfield site development, overburden removal, mining of frac sand and the dredging of plant feed material that is processed into frac sand. Responsible for all the plant operations, Turner manages and maintains the plant, stormwater controls and water management on the site. Mining activities include the extraction of dry and wet materials.

Turner Mining Group is contracted to complete next level stages of the tailings storage facility embankment raise at a major mining facility in the northwest. Scope of work includes Mine Infrastructure Relocation (Roadways, Pipelines, Collection Ponds); Topsoil and Subsoil Stripping and Relocation; Sorting and Processing of Embankment Fill; Processing, Loading, Hauling, Placement of Embankment Fill; Processing and Crushing Aggregates; MSE Wall Construction; and Final TSF Reclamation. Turner Mining Group will also install 92,500 SY of geotextile and 116,500 SY of 60, 80, and 100 mil liner.

Turner is responsible for all mining operations starting with the drilling and blasting of the ore and waste, ore grade control, the segregation of ore and waste, loading and hauling the different products, and mining over 11 million tons of ore for leach pad to be processed. Our team moves 50,000 tons per day of ore to reach the client’s goals and is acquiring additional staff to haul an additional 60,000 tons per day of mill ore.

By moving 11 million tons of material - 30,000 tons daily, our team increased capacity for the client to ensure production and meet market demand. The project required analyzing and segmenting ore body by quality specifications. Our team managed the drilling, blasting and mining of high-quality ore as well as stockpiling the various grades across 7 stockpiles while meeting project timelines and exceeding client satisfaction.

Turner Mining Group was contracted to move 7 million cubic yards of overburden over a 2-year span to uncover high-quality ore. To date, Turner Mining Group has been the only cost-effective solution with the ability to proactively stay ahead of the client’s large demand for uncovering high quality ore.

This 6-site mining contract with Vulcan Materials enabled continuous mining allowing ore extraction year-round. Moving a total of 2 million cubic yards, our team meaningfully increased capacity for Vulcan.

Turner Mining Group completed pit reclamation via importing fill and compacting to meet the client's reclamation requirements.

A multi-year, multi-million ton mining contract, our team provided client specific solutions for stripping, mining and over-the-road hauling. To date, TMG has moved approximately 1.3 million tons.
