Turner Mining Group Strengthens Maintenance Leadership with Two Regional Appointments

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Turner Mining Group has strengthened its maintenance leadership team with the appointment of Larry Sanchez as Regional Maintenance Manager – Texas and Carter Oman as Regional Maintenance Manager – West, marking an important step forward in the company’s ongoing Asset Management program.

As Turner Mining Group continues to grow its operational footprint and fleet investment across the country, the company is investing in the leadership, systems, and strategies needed to improve equipment reliability, strengthen maintenance performance, and better support its teams in the field.

Sanchez will lead regional maintenance effort across Turner Mining Group’s Lamesa, Crane, and Atlas sites in Texas, providing technical support to project teams while driving the field implementation of Turner’s Asset Management Program. He brings extensive experience in asset management, fleet and equipment reliability, multi-site operations, and cost control, including more than eight years managing assets in the oil and energy industry. His background also includes equipment maintenance, asset optimization, operational planning, and supporting both field and shop teams.

Oman will oversee regional maintenance across Turner Mining Group’s western operations, working directly with project teams to strengthen technical execution and bring strategies, systems, and standards of Turner’s Asset Management Program into the field. He brings more than seven years of mining maintenance and reliability experience with Rio Tinto, where he progressed through engineering, operations, and maintenance leadership roles, most recently serving as Superintendent of Maintenance Operations. He previously served as a Reliability Engineer with Barrick Mining Corporation and holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Utah. Oman is also a Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP).

Together, Sanchez and Oman bring complementary experience across field operations, asset management, reliability engineering, maintenance systems, and leadership. In their regional role, they will work alongside site and maintenance leaders to strengthen maintenance practices and build a more proactive, reliability-centered approach across Turner Mining Group’s operations.

“Adding Larry and Carter to our team is a major step forward in our Asset Management Program,” said Blake Baca, Director of Maintenance. “They bring different strengths and experiences, but share the same focus on building more proactive, reliable maintenance programs. Establishing strong regional leadership closer to our operations gives our project teams greater access to technical expertise while putting experienced leaders in the field to drive the systems, standards, and strategies behind our Asset Management Program.

The appointments reflect Turner Mining Group’s continued investment in building the infrastructure needed to support its growth. By strengthening regional maintenance leadership and creating greater alignment across operations, the company is focused on improving equipment performance, reliability, and long-term asset management across its growing fleet.
