Turner Mining Group Appoints Joey Mercado as Director of Procurement

Bloomington, IN – Turner Mining Group announced today that Joey Mercado has joined the company as Director of Procurement. In this role, Mercado will lead the company’s procurement strategy, helping strengthen supplier partnerships, purchasing processes, and the systems needed to support Turner Mining Group’s continued growth.

Mercado brings more than 20 years of supply chain and procurement experience across manufacturing, industrial operations, and multi-site organizations. His expertise spans contract negotiations, supplier management, sourcing strategy, category management, inventory optimization, and enterprise resource planning. Most recently, Mercado served in procurement leadership roles with Arcosa and Heidelberg Materials.

At Turner Mining Group, Mercado will work across operations, maintenance, finance, and project teams to develop and lead a more strategic approach to procurement across the organization. His role will focus on improving purchasing processes, increasing visibility, and ensuring the company’s people and projects have the resources needed to perform.
