Turner Mining Group Appoints Jerrod Baker as Director of Performance & Optimization

BLOOMINGTON, IN |  Turner Mining Group is pleased to announce the promotion of Jerrod Baker to the position of Director of Performance & Optimization. In this new role, Baker will oversee the company's efforts to improve efficiency, productivity, and safety across all mining operations.

Baker is a seasoned mining professional with over two decades of experience in the mining industry. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mining Engineering from the University of Kentucky, where he graduated with honors, as well as an MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Throughout his career, he has worked in a variety of roles, including as a Production Engineer, Mine Manager, Managing Director and most recently as a General Manager overseeing and managing a two-year greenfield mine startup for Turner Mining Group.

Baker has been an integral part of Turner Mining Group's success over the past two years, helping define key metrics and providing visibility to customers operations both internally and externally. His experience in mine planning, equipment selection, and operational management has been invaluable in driving the company's growth and success.

As Director of Performance & Optimization, Baker will focus on improving the efficiency and productivity of Turner Mining Group's mining and processing operations. He and his team will work closely with the company's operations teams to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to maximize performance. This will include developing new processes, defining customer success through KPI’s, implementing technology solutions, and providing training and support to the company's employees in order to make data driven decisions.

Baker is excited about his new role and the opportunity to drive continued growth and success at Turner Mining Group.
