Love Your Job or Do Something Else
By Keaton Turner
If you don’t love walking into work each morning, then why are you doing it? For us, it’s the smell of diesel, the sound of back-up alarms and track pads, and the whining of hydraulic pumps that get the juices flowing each morning. Do you enjoy the people you work with or the environment you work in? Why force yourself to wake up and do something every day if you hate it?
You need the money? You like the job security? You’re afraid of change? Life is too short to be unhappy ― don’t grow old only to regret trading time for money. If you’re not happy at work, that means more than half of your time spent awake on earth is no fun. Shouldn’t we all spend the best years of our lives being excited about our work, instead of dreading it?
Have fun in life, and enjoy your work and the people around you. In the end, all we have is our life experiences ― the memories we’ve shared with the people we’ve impacted along the way. Our people have passion, and they love the work they do. Our teams are changing the industry one site at a time, and I couldn’t be more thankful for (and proud of) all of them!
